He brought himself down. By being a liar. And when you need to go into recovery someday, you'll have to wonder if the guy "helping" you through it is a liar, too. Good luck.

SHE was jumping on the bandwagon of those of us "out front" on this. Recovered/recovering addicts had Frey's number very early in this little game.
This book has been held out as inspirational to addicts. It contains a lot of lies.
Ask ANYONE (except James Frey) what they learned about Truth, Honesty, Lies and Self Deception if they successfully have recovered from addiction. Frey never learned the lesson. He, and his story is no poster child for the recovering addict.
Frey's "Million Little Lies" just doesn't cut it. Recovery = Honesty. Frey = Lies.
